Meet Yolanda

Hey there,

I’m Yolanda! If you’ve made it to my About page, then you either aged out, are aging out, or have become redundant.

I started this blog because ageism is real in Corporate America. My LinkedIn feed is full of green open-to-work banners and posts about job loss. There are so many people out of work, like nothing I’ve ever seen.

Sometimes, you’ll see posts about people finding jobs, which is great. But many posts also share the struggle of job hunting, especially for those over 50.

I want to help the aged-out community. At 61, I feel the sting of age discrimination. I can relate to others who have gone through it as well.

I get how it feels when a company hires someone younger and less experienced. Then, they expect you to train them. I've faced this situation several times in my career.

So yes, I am 61 and even though I am currently working, I know that my corporate career, like yours, is uncertain.

Together, we can overcome this corporate discrimination and create our financial futures. I have a few ideas. Stick around and read my blog.
